About the course
CatholicCare is an accredited provider of LivingWorks Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). It is two-day in-person workshop where you’ll learn how to recognise when someone may be thinking about suicide, and how to provide a skilled intervention and develop a safety plan with the person to connect them to further support.
What will I learn?

How to offer a skilled, compassionate intervention in the moment of need.

How to collaboratively create a safety plan that connects the person with ongoing supports.

How personal and community attitudes toward suicide can influence help‑seeking and your ability to support someone.

Who is it for?
It is ideal for caregivers, educators, first responders, community members, and workplace staff seeking to recognize, talk to, and support people at risk of suicide.
