Following the PDHPE syllabus, our sessions are available for:
- Year 4 students: delivered in class
- Year 5 students and parents: delivered in class with separate parent session or joint child/parent session (the joint session still provides separate parent and child focussed content)
- Year 6 students: delivered in class
The child sessions will include information on:
- What is puberty
- Gender specific biological changes
- How to look after our bodies
- Social & emotional changes and how to manage them
- How to ask for help and have conversations with trusted adults
- Identify personal strengths and skills and what makes them who they are!
The parent session will include information on:
- An overview of what will be discussed with the children
- Relationships and connecting with their children
- Open and honest conversations (a foundation that can help with being able to have the ‘big’ conversations)
- How to build resilience in your child
- What to look for and where to get further support
